Rx. Bupleuri Chai Hu 3-12g Resolves Shao Yang disorders, reduces fever, harmonizes the Exterior and Interior, Spreads Liver Qi and relieves Stagnation.
With Bai Shao, for Liver Blood Deficiency with Liver Qi Stagnation and vertigo, dizziness, thoracic and costal pain, and menstrual irregularity due to Liver Qi Stagnation.
With Gan Cao, for upper right quadrant pain.
Rx. Curcumae Yu Jin 3-15g Invigorates Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, regulates Qi flow, Clears the Heart and Pericardium, opens the Orifices, benefits the Gallbladder and alleviates pain.
Rx. seu Rz. Nardostachydis Gan Song 2.5-6g Awakens the Spleen, promotes the movement of Qi, unblocks Stagnation, disperses Cold, alleviates pain and is especially indicated for arrhythmia and tachycardia.
Fr. Toosendan Chuan Lian Zi 3-15g Dredges Liver Qi, releases Stagnation, stops pain and conducts Heat out from below.
With Yan Hu Suo, for intermittent epigastric and hypochondriac pain, hernia pain or menstrual pain with irritability due to Liver Stagnation with Heat.
With Yan Hu Suo and Xiang Fu, for hypochondriac and abdominal pain.
Rx. Paeoniae Alba Bai Shao 5-30g Nourishes the Blood, astringes Yin, softens the Liver and relieves pain.
With Gan Cao, for a
bdominal pain due to disharmony between the Liver and Stomach and epigastric, hypochondriac or flank pain.
With Chai Hu, for flank pain due to Liver Qi Stagnation.
Rz. Corydalis Yan Hu Suo 3-12g Invigorates the Blood, circulates Qi and stops pain.
Lignum Santali Albi Tan Xiang 1-5g Promotes movement of Qi, harmonizes the Middle Jiao, alleviates pain, removes Blood Stagnation and treats coronary artery disease.
With Xiang Fu, regulates Qi and harmonizes the Liver and Spleen to treat Liver QI Stagnation causing Spleen and Stomach disharmony with a stifling sensation in the chest and flanks, belching, sighing, loss of appetite and epigastric pain.
Rz. Cyperi Xiang Fu 6-14g Spreads and regulates Liver Qi and alleviates pain.
With Yan Hu Suo, treats everything from Liver Qi Stagnation to Deep Blood Stasis with pain anywhere in the body including stabbing chest pain, distending pain in the breast, Cold pain in the epigastrium, pain due to bulging disorder in the lower body and dysmenorrhea.
